We were in groups of three and we had a great challenge....
The Golden visit to Thames
Mrs Lee had a time machine and only one group could zoom back in time and go to Thames at the time of the gold rush. Once there we would be able to get as much gold as we need to get rich (and some for Mrs Lee of course!)
But the challenge was...
Where was the gold?
What date, including the month would we need to go?
What was the weather like?
What would we need to bring with us?
Where there any threats?
How much gold would we need to get to become rich?
What was it like in Thames in the olden days?
Using our research skills we found out lots of the information we needed.
We then had to use our presentation skills to present our case.
We presented our work in some great powerpoints. Have a look at some of our presentations below. Which group would you choose?
(Thanks to questgarden.com and Angela Lee whose fantastic teaching idea was adapted for this unit)
